For a great friend!
Hey you guys! I’ve got another card over on the Hero Arts blog today featuring new BasicGrey stamps from the Plumeria collection, plus a video and a giveaway — more on that below. First I wanted to share a little backstory on the card.
See that purple? Well I’ve got a confession to make — I’m not a huge fan of the color, ha! You see, I wanted to make the card to go with the Plumeria collection since I was using the new stamps. I was drooling over the collection and read the description — an assortment of dusky lavender, dramatic midnight purple, mossy green and a thrilling pop of orange cascade through this line of long-stemmed imagination. Take time to stop and smell not only the roses, but all of the natural wonders found in this classically intriguing line — I thought ooo, mossy green and a thrilling pop of orange! I can do this.
But nope, the card muses weren’t speaking to me.
Then I asked myself, okay girl, who do you know that loves purple? And the answer came in a flash: my sweet friend Libby! So I made this card for her. And you know what? The card came together in a flash after that.
