I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved the messages on conversation hearts. I wouldn’t necessarily *eat* them, just look at the messages, ha! So for my day on the Hero Arts blog today I came up with a super easy way to decorate a box with the new Fancy Doily die and neon pink ink to dip-dye the edges — dip dye is so on trend right now!

Hi all! Today is my last day as the August Guest Designer over on the BasicGrey blog. Can’t believe how fast time flew by! I had so much fun, and I am truly honored to be a guest designer.
Here’s a little peek at what I made using the BasicGrey Paper Cottage Felt Stickers and Trims — they were the inspiration to do some stamping on felt!
Click on over to check it out, and watch a video on stamping on felt! If you haven’t tried stamping on felt yet, you won’t believe at how easy it can be. And so cool.
Thanks so much, BasicGrey! It really meant the world to me! xo
Have you missed me? Sorry I’ve been MIA lately, but it’s been complete and utter craziness ’round these parts! That’s because I’ve been working on the 2012 Hero Arts catalog. It’s been just nuts!
To top it all off, I am the featured blogger on the Hero Arts blog this week. And it’s not just any ole blog week — nope, it’s a week when we’re teaming up with Silhouette to show what can be done with their limited edition advent calendar and Hero papers and stamps.
So, here’s the start of my calendar adventure:
(Libby: thanks again my friend! Had a blast making these tags “with” you! Hugs!)
And that’s not all! Silhouette is offering $10 off the calendar with promo code HERO from now until Friday — woo! Find the calendar here in their shop.
Things should hopefully settle down a bit now, whew. Can’t wait to share more about what I’ve been up to lately — including a trip to Hero for the photo shoot and a visit to San Francisco with my friend Mon! (Who has been going just as crazy — if not more so! — on the Hero catalog as I am! You’d never believe all the work that goes into a catalog release. I wouldn’t, if I hadn’t been through them before.)
random.org has spoken, and the winner is…#144, Jennifer Harrison! Yay! Jennifer, I emailed you and I let Jennifer McGuire know. :)
Thanks so much to everyone who left a comment with your favorite Christmas cookie, I really enjoyed reading all about them! Especially the traditions that you shared. Can’t wit to make some now!
Hope to see you all in class!

Doesn’t that just sound awesome? And! As one of the 12 guest designers I get to giveaway a spot in the class! Yay! If you’re the lucky winner and you already registered you’ll get a refund of the class price. (Aren’t Jennifer and Kristina generous as well as being fabulous?) So honored to have a little part in this, I feel like a celebrity!
To enter to win a spot in the class, leave me a comment on this post with your favorite Christmas cookie!
Edited on October 13: I forgot to put when the winner would be announced! So to give everyone time, I’ll pick a random one October 14 after lunchtime. Thanks so much! I’ve loved reading about everyone’s favorite cookies! Although it’s making me hungry, ha ha! :)
Edited on October 14: Comments are now closed and the winner has been announced here!
I’ll go first! My fave Christmas cookie is a tie between clothespin cookies (mmmm, icing!), buckeyes (I’m from Ohio, ha!), and snowballs or wedding cookies (powdered sugar: messy but I just can’t resist them)!
What’s your fave?
