Spirals are in!

I saw this vest by Isis a while back on the Terry Bicycles website and fell in love with it — I HAD to have it!! So I splurged and got it to take on our trip to Big Bend.

I love the spirals on it and how it has that little something but it’s not so loud that people gawk at you, ha ha! Well then I started noticing spirals everywhere! And I started thinking about the Spirographs we had when we were kids — loved those things! So next stop was eBay to try and buy an old Spirograph set — but you would think those old sets were made out of gold or something, the ones with all the parts were going for over $50! So I started hunting for alternatives and found this nifty Spiral Draw book by Klutz! I put it on my Christmas wish list and my MIL got it for me! Woo hoo!

I made this card to thank her for all of the great Christmas presents that Jason and I received from her and my FIL, and for picking us up at the airport, and for the special vegetarian dishes she fixed for us! YUM!

Supplies: Thank you very much stamp by Hero Arts, Spiral Draw kit by Klutz, gelly roll pens by Sakura, spiral clip from Mostly Hearts, and light blue and light purple cardstock by Bazzil. The gelly roll pens have that sparkly shine to them and look neat in real life. I sewed around the edges –I’m getting better at sewing in straight lines, but I’m still working on circles, ha ha!

  5. Dear Lisa,

You are such an inspiring artist. I went up the attic to find my Spirograph. I got it from an aunt from Canada, and kept it all these years. The box is a bit worn down but everything is still complete (after 30 years)
If I have something that is worthwhile showing I will sent it to you.
    Greetings from a rainy Holland

  6. That card is AWESOME!
