Three cards

First off — Jason’s birthday card. Jason hates his birthday like nobody’s business, so this one was to cheer him up. This card has extra meaning because I call him “my knight” — he’s always rescuing me.

The knight is by A Muse, cake by Savvy Stamps, and I did the message on the computer — used NeoOffice on my MacBook. Fonts are Cooperplate Gothic Light and Edwardian Script ITC. I colored everything with PrismaColor Markers — learned about these gems from Linda’s blog, thanks Linda! I also added some glitter for sparkle.
Oh — sorry for the dark pics, as you can see we finally got some rain this afternoon! Not much, but every little bit helps.

Next up — Colin’s first birthday card! Colin is Jason’s nephew and he was born on Jason’s birthday — how sweet is that? Jason was hoping that everyone would forget about his birthday now that Colin is here, but no such luck. Ha!

All stamps in this one are by Hero Arts, except for the tiny heart on the tag by Memory Box. I attached the “C” with pop dots so it really looks neat in real life. The “C” and gemstones are also by Hero Arts. Patterned paper by Chatterbox.

The third card is for a friend who is changing jobs — I’ll really miss working with her. I got her a cute little Moka Pot and some coffee, and she has scarlet Fiesta in her kitchen so that’s the reason behind the theme and the red. These stamps are all by Hero Arts. I did the message on my MacBook again — sorry but don’t remember the font, maybe Typewriter? I used metallic silver ink on the shadow stamp, but it’s hard to see the effect in the photo.

And, I wanted to let you know that I’m travelling out to Hero Arts tomorrow — I’ll be taking the trusty MacBook, so hopefully I’ll be able to post from the hotel — if I can keep my eyes open — 6 AM flight, ugh. Better go get some sleep. Night.
