Merry merry morning.

Hope that you’re having a great morning.  I love mornings like this — the sun doesn’t quite make it in the room — unlike the summer, when Jason gets a sunburn while eating breakfast, ha ha.  So peaceful this time of year.

Had to go outside to take pictures some cards I made yesterday

They are inspired by this card on Kristina’s blog.  As soon as I saw hers just knew I had to make some, as the word merry has been running around in my brain for days now.  I changed ’em up a little tho.

Then for fun I changed ’em up even more

Oh and!  The mug in the top picture is special to me — it’s from the Blue Heron Coffeehouse in Winona, MN.  Got it when we were in town for the North American Prairie Conference back in August.  Jason + Scott both thought I was nuts for getting it.  But it reminds me of all the awesome times we had on the prairies there.  And then collapsing at the coffeehouse in the evenings with that happy tired feeling.  And the lunches!  And of course the coffee — yum.

Have a merry + bright day!

Supplies: Alphabet, stitched border, holly flourish, kraft notecards by Hero Arts.  Super sparkly red glitter embossing powder by Stewart Superior – wish you could see it in person!  Memories white dye ink used for the flourish.  Various ribbons.  I used the stitched border stamp instead of the pen that Kristina used — made the card go even faster!

  1. Hi Lisa….
Love the cards!! I really need to get me that Alphabet!! Love what I have seen done with it….
Hope you have a wonderful day!

  2. Love those cards! Very pretty. As I am working my way through my bunches to be sent I really appreciate how pretty this batch is!

  3. We are having some very cold (below 0) weather here in Maine. The wind is roaring and sounds like a train coming towards the house. I am having a hard time getting motivated with cold hands. I put a heating pad in my chair at my crafting table. Brrrr. My sweet teen daughter fixed me up with some of her Chai tea latte. I’m nota tea drinker but this stuff is good. Great card ideas for doing up some quick ones. Luv your color choices.
