Kristina’s Color Challenge #34

A dear friend’s father passed away and I was struggling mightily to make a card for her.  I’m so glad that Kristina posted her color challenge in these soothing colors because it really helped me put this together.

I’m going to call my Dad today — miss him.

Supplies:  Stamp and gemstones by Hero Arts.  Silk ribbon by Creative Impressions. Cardstock by Bazzill.  (The pale purple is actually one of their shimmery papers — hard to photo!)  I rolled the edges of the flowers up with my fingers and used pop dots to adhere them to the card. Prismacolor pencils.

  1. Lovely card, Lisa. My heart goes out to your friend. My dad
died seven years ago and for me, there is and will always be, a
    whole in the earth.

  2. Lisa-
Your card is great. The pop up flowers and the sparkle gems on the center of the flowers are so cute. The colors just pop right off of the page with the white background. Definately one of my favs!!!

On the downside, I am totally sorry (and feel insensitive) for not having read the reason behind this card. My heart goes out to your friend.
