Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! Hope your day is as merry + bright as the Trail of Lights — we went there last night, and I just had to share.
The Trail of Lights is 1.25 miles of twinkling goodness
And, this being Austin, of course there’s lots of music
See the red + white tree in the background? More on that later
The trail winds around so you can see where you are going
I’m always a sucker for blue lights — they look so peaceful
Towards the end I was walking slower and slower, trying to make it last. And then I let out a squeal of delight when I saw this ‘shroom!
What a great night!
But even though the trail was finished, we weren’t done yet! We walked over to pay homage to the Zilker Tree
Now we could go home.
