Hero Arts 2009 Catalog is up!

Yippee!!!  The big reveal of the 2009 Catalog is up on the Hero Arts website — click the linky to see it!  WOO HOO!  So glad you all can finally see!  YAY!!!!  Can you tell I’m all excited?

Here are some cards I did that made it on the cover — LOVE these stamps!!!

One with ‘shrooms

And three cards with elephants!  In this first one I was playing around with the little elephant + the HUGE greeting, ha ha

This next one I turned the tree into an “enormous” flower

And in this last one I had fun with the shorts on the little mouse, hee hee

And, here are two cards I did for the 2009 Hero Arts catalog that didn’t make it in — because there wasn’t room for them in the catalog. They are up on the Hero website tho.  I love this DesignBlock stamp because there are so many neat-o things you can do with it.  In the first one I just stamped it with brown on a blue notecard strip.

The second one I got a little more creative —  I inked the birds with red and the branches + everything else with browns — a light brown on the flower parts.  Then I went over everything with colored pencils to add shading. I thought about adding a message to it, but I couldn’t figure out what to cover up!  So the message went on the inside.

Check out my slideshow over there in the blog sidebar for more cards that I did — you can click on one to see it larger + get to a big version of the slideshow.

Leave a comment and let me know if there are any you’d like more info on — and let me know what you think of the catalog, too!  Can’t wait to hear!

Supplies: Stamps, notecard + embellishments all by Hero Arts.  Colored pencils by Prismacolor.

    Dear Lisa,

I am a faithful Hero Arts blog looker–in fact, that is how I start my day.  Since we both live in Austin, I just thought I would send you a note and tell you how much I love yall’s stuff.  My husband worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife for many, many years and knew about native grasses, etc.  Hooray for today’s rain and I hope for more.  Thanks for all your hard work, Charlotte Hutcheson

My favorite are always flourishes, alphabets, journaling blocks and background stamps–so I’m always looking out for new ideas on those.

My FAVORITE new stamps are REACH FOR THE STARS AND GALAXY OF STARS.  (I heart stars) so I WOULD REALLY like to see some ideas from you on those 2 particular stamps!

    Hi Lisa,

Happy New Year!  I was pretty excited about the new Hero Arts Catalog too!  I already made my ‘wish list”  and I think it includes about half of the catalog… Anyway, I wanted to stop by and leave a comment and check out what you have been up to.  I think you are enormously talented and always love the fresh take  you have with color and the stamps you use.  I’m a fan.  Wish you all the best in the New year–lots of success, good health and happiness…All the best, Bev
