I {heart} Hero Arts Blog hop!

Hi everyone! When Ashley told me about the I {heart} Hero Arts blog hop I just HAD to join in the fun!  So, here’s my thank you card using my favorite Hero Arts stamps — it took me a looooong time to decide, but in the end there were some I just couldn’t resist — plus they went so well with the new Basic Grey June Bug paper I picked up the other day:

Supplies: Hero Arts’ Young Deer (D5234), Special Edition Just a Note Bird (LP140), Butterfly Garden (K5209) Blossom Notecards (PS513), Lemon Notecards (PS515), White Notecards (PS517), Kraft Notecards (PS507), Sparkle Gem Hearts (CH142), White Embossing Powder (PW110).  I stamped the Young Deer with black Momento ink, then colored her with Brick Beige (E31) and Sand (E33) Copic Markers.  Patterned paper + message bubble chipboard by Basic Grey — from the June Bug line.  I discovered that Copics work great on coated chipboard, too!  Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  Nestabilities Labels 4 die cut.  White silk ribbon by Creative Impressions.

Next, Ashley gave all the hoppers two questions to answer.  The first is to tell your Hero Arts story and how you got started using Hero Arts products.  And the answer to that one is that I fell in love with the clean, elegant lines of the Four Seasons set — and then I was hooked!  I had to have more and more and…well, you get the idea.  Here are just a few of my old favorites, circa 1997 — hard to believe that’s 12 years ago — wow!

That bicycle stamp is extra special to me — because cycling is one of my other loves!

The second question is to tell why we are thankful for Hero Arts.  That’s an easy one!  I am thankful for my job working for Hero — yep, I’m a lucky girl! — I get to work for Hero doing two things I love: web/techno/geeky stuff AND creative stuff!  It’s my dream job.

All of the people there are super special, too.  From Jackie and Aaron, to Mon, Manami and Rick, to Todd, Laura A, Lay, May, Lois, Alicia, Tim, Wayne, Noel, Lorena, Kughee and Lars, to all of the girls that work in the “rubber room”, to Sonny, and Junas and Injae — and then there’s all of the artists — Sally, Nancy, Jennifer, Shari, Tami, Laura G, Leslie, Kelly, Jacki, Kandis, Robyn, Sheri — BIG hugs to you ALL!  And a special hug to Louise, who retired from Hero after working there for over 20 years.  Louise is the one who called me and in July 2005 asked if I’d like to make samples for the 2006 catalog — what a question, ha ha!

I’d also like to thank Hero Arts for all of the friendships I’ve made through our shared love of Hero Arts + stamping!  Hugs to all of YOU on the hop, and to all who I’ve met!

And, finally, a BIG thanks to Ashley for hosting the hop!  Hugs to you, too!

Now, back to the hop — it’s here!
