Nutrition Facts: Stamps are good for you!

When my friend Libby asked me if I wanted to be a guest for Hambo Stamps I smiled really BIG and said YES! I love Hambo Stamps, they just crack me up! If you’re not familiar with them, their slogan is “Go ahead, laugh at us!”. And they have a whole Fractured Funnies line with a really quirky sense of humor that’s right up my alley.

I got to pick out two stamps. I knew I wanted to make some kind of Valentine’s Day project, but I just couldn’t make up my mind! Finally after much deliberation I went with these: a simple solid heart and this cool nutrition facts label.

The Hambo Stamps I picked out!

When the stamps arrived here in Texas the ideas started rolling around in my head like crazy and I couldn’t wait to stamp.

Then I ate some chocolates and a lightbulb went off…ding ding ding!

So, here’s the top — I was going for a kinda fancy shmancy look. I stamped the little heart all over the striped cardstock, had to tilt it so you could see:

And here’s the inside! I put the nutrition label on the lid and then whipped up some chocolate cards to fill in the slots. Ha ha ha!

Can you tell I was giggling when I made it? Ha ha ha!

Supplies: Recycled Whitman’s candy heart box — yep I ate the chocolates first, yum! Hambo’s solid heart and nutrition facts stamps. Fonts for front are QuigleyWiggly for “Hambo’s” and PixelPlay for “sampler”.  Martha Stewart’s brownstone glitter. Zig glue pen. Pink striped paper from ANW Crestwood — I stamped the little heart on it using VersaColor Petal Pink. Brown cardstock in milk and dark chocolate from my stash. Punch on the front and corner rounder punch used on the dark chocolate card are by EK Success. Ovals on the polka-dot card are by Spellbinders. Polka-dot paper by Bo Bunny.

Thanks again for having me, Monica and Libby! I had so much fun! And I love Hambo Stamps!

Hugs,
