Happy Valentine’s Day!

This year for Valentine’s Day I made two cards for J. (Well, and a tag — but I gave him the tag already.) Call it a case of two many ideas and not enough holidays.

Happy, happy Valentine's Day!

I like to make him simple cards, since, well, he’s a guy. And he’s not much into ribbons and bows and lace and stuff.

But I wanted to make them fun, too.

I think I got it!

Resources + How-to: For the cloud card — you know how I love clouds! —  first I stamped the cloud from Lawnfawn’s partly cloudy set with white glue and then sprinkled it with Doodlebug flocking. Then I added heart raindrop stickers. Then for the deer card, I stamped the Savvy birch tree with Momento light pink ink, then stamped the Impress deer with VersaColor bark, then added another heart sticker. Wish I’d have saved the package that those heart stickers came in, I need some more and I don’t remember where I got them. Anyone recognize them?  I used Fabriano notecards for both cards — these feel so good to the touch, and to me they just somehow *make* a simple card. The frames around the photos are overlays from Katrina at Pugly Pixel. They are sourced from a photo album from the 1940’s. Love! And! She even has a tutorial to go along with them.

Can’t wait to give these to him tonight. Along with a little surprise, too.

Happy Valentine’s Day,
