Thinking of my Grandma. And quilts.

I made this card to take to my Gran. I was thinking about her mom (my Great-Grandma) and how she made quilts. All by hand. I love quilts. They’re so comforting to me. (More than comforters, ha!)

One time my Grandma, her sister, my sister and I all made quilts for our beds. I think I was maybe 14? Can’t remember.

I still have mine, even though it’s for a twin bed. (And there are no twin beds to be found in our house.)

Do you have things you’ve saved even though you don’t use them — only because you made them with someone you love?

Resources: Hero Arts flower stamp from the Sweet Threads Thank You set (CL511, available in April). Fabriano notecard. Pearls also by Hero. Not sure where I got the sticker, I’ve had it for a while now, just saving it for the right moment. I think it’s by Cosmo Cricket. I used Momento markers by Tsukineko to color directly on the stamp, then I misted it with water and stamped it on white cardstock.

Hugs,

What a wonderful card – and what a happy memory, too – sure to bring some cheer to your Grandma!
I have a number of things, some small, some big, that I don’t use but couldn’t possibly part with, all because they remind me of a special person and/or time.
