Altenew June 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hello there and welcome to my stop on the Altenew June Release Blog Hop! I’m so glad you’re here!

I can’t tell you how much I love this new release — so many awesome products! You can find the full release right HERE.

I’ve got FIVE cards to share with you today — yep, you know me, once I get started I just can’t seem to stop! Especially when a release is this good. Let’s get started!

Welcome Home

First up, two cards using the new Welcome Home stamps and dies. This set is too clever you all — after stamping all of the layers it’ll form a circle!

It’s really simple to line up, too, just follow the guide on the package. Sometimes I have trouble lining layering stamps up, but not these.

Welcome Home stamps and dies (pick them up in a bundle and save!)

Now, this set comes with so many great sentiments, but I wanted to switch things up so I used the new Sentiment Strips stamps instead.

The Sentiment Strips has you covered from anniversary to get well cards and I love that classic font — it goes with everything and will never go out of style.

So first I used soothing blues to make a sympathy card. I like to keep some of these on hand because it’s so hard for me to make them when I need them.

Colors here are juniper mist, it’s a boy and aquatini. It may be a little hard to see, but if you look closely you’ll notice that I added a few crystal droplets — I think they look like dew.

This color combo would also work for a baby boy — just use the sentiments included in the Welcome Home stamp set.

Then I switched up the colors to make a cheery thinking of you card. It always amazes me how much color changes the mood of a card.

Colors here are mint to be, eucalyptus and polished.

Did you notice my little twist on the two cards? For the sympathy card, I used the circle die that comes in the Welcome Home die set to cut a window in the front of the card, while for the thinking of you card I used the circle in a the traditional way. Which do you prefer? Me? I kinda like the window!

Pressed Leaf

Pressed Leaf die — this is so elegant!

Next up a leafy card with the new Pressed Leaf die on gold foil paper!

That gold foil paper is so hard to photo! Please ignore the black on there — that’s the reflection of my tripod lol! Here’s a closeup so you can hopefully see it better:

Did you notice that background? It has All. The. Leaves, including the ones from the Welcome Home and Leaf Clusters stamps. Just goes to show that you don’t have to use stamps as they were intended lol!

I had to add that I love how the Pressed Leaf die makes the score line for the stem of the leaf and then cuts out the leaves but keeps them attached — it’s so pretty.

Leaf Clusters

Leaf Clusters stamps and dies (pick them up in bundle and save!)

Speaking of the Leaf Clusters, here are two cards featuring these awesome new stamps!

I stamped both of these at the same time — love doing this! I stamped the one on the right first, and then without re-inking the stamp I just misted it and stamped the one on the left!

This card uses the new Hero Arts reactive inks in creamsicle, fruit punch, pool party and grape crush.

Then for a little twist I loaded up a brush with water and let it run down the front of the card — LOVE the look this gives!

Now for a closer look at that second generation stamping:

Love how soft and pretty this is. By the way, I used watercolor paper on both of the leaf cluster cards as I found it just works better for these techniques.

So which of the five cards is your favorite? I’d love to hear! Leave me a comment and you’ll also be entered in a GIVEAWAY!
