It’s gonna be alright.

Hi you guys! I know I haven’t posted much lately, but I’ve had a bunch going on with my knee (not happy stuff) and then I was on vacation for a week (yay!). I feel like I’m finally crawling out from a deep deep hole. But, every little thing really is gonna be alright! And I’m gonna start blogging again. Have sure missed all of you.

This card is on the Hero Arts blog today, so join me over there to find out about how I made it, and find out which of these stamps is on sale for 25% off this week! woo!

More soon!

Studio Calico Please Note Collection!

Hi! Here’s another card I made it for the Studio Calico booth at CHA!

Can’t tell you how much I love the new Please Note stamp set from Studio Calico! And the 6×6″ paper pack? Oh yeah, love it too. As soon as I saw the label paper I knew I had to chop them up and stamp on them. On some of them, I punched little holes to make them look like notebook paper — yes!

And the paper clip? It just kills me. To get this look, I just stamped the paper clip several times on different papers + the notecard itself, then lined them all up. ta dah!

Isn’t the Please Note Collection just awesome? Check out more here!

I finished off the card with some silver metallic decor from Hero Arts — love how they look like brads, but without the bulk!

Hope you have a super great weekend, and hope you have time to be creative!

Booth Butterflies!

Hey you guys! Thanks so much for all your kind comments about the knee yesterday — made me feel so happy! And so glad that it’s getting better, really missed all of you!

Now as promised, here’s the first of several cards that I made for  Studio Calico to use in their booth at CHA — I was so honored to make cards for them as I love their style. It’s got such a fun, playful, vintage vibe to it that I’m really drawn to!

(Booth photo from the Studio Calico facebook album — check out more photos from their awesome booth here! Nifty arrow from Katrina at Pugly Pixel — love it so much!)

I love this butterfly stamp — you’ll be seeing a few more cards I made with it later, ha ha! For this version, I got out my ancient set of Crayola watercolors and colored them in, then while it was still wet I splattered them with gray. Love how they turned out, don’t you?

Here’s the set the butterfly stamp is from, it’s called Calico Borders!

And the paper is all from the new Classic Calico collection 6×6″ pad — that book paper is so versatile, I want to use it on everything!

I stitched the butterflies on with silver metallic thread, added some bling and that was that!

More tomorrow,
