Inspired by my color journal!

Here’s a card inspired by my color journal – love these colors — I’ve got more ideas too!

After I stamped the stitched flower on the striped background it didn’t seem to pop enough, so I used a craft knife to cut around the edges and then I lifted the petals up.

Oh, and everybody start doing your rain dance — it’s finally cloudy here in Austin — we sure need rain, we’ve been in a drought for months now!

Supplies: Hero Arts vertical stripes background (F3833), stitched posey (F3777), box of words (LL001), little turns and brads (CH116), and ocean tsumugi notecards (PS413). Watercolor crayons by Lyra. I used VersaColor black pigment ink to stamp SMILE — I’ve found that pigment ink seems to work the best for these notecards.

As for the rain…..we’ve had plenty here in The Netherlands and we actually could do with a little less.
I hope to see some more cards of you soon!!!
When I visit the States this year I will have to get myself some of those crayons too.

  2. Hi!

Send your rain my way — we’ll take it!

The Lyras are actually made in Germany, but not sure where you can find them in The Netherlands. Good luck! What part of the States are you coming to?

Glad the card made you smile!

Big smiles and thanks for your comment! It’s fun getting
comments from all around the world!

Well how did you like the bit of rain which was send your way??? Because I lived and studied in Florida that is where I try to visit yearly with my husband and youngest son. Maybe we should try Texas some time!!! A friend of mine living in Florida is bringing me some of those Lyras. Can’t wait to get them.
