What a great first trip to California!
Sure was busy — I got to meet some friends, have dinner, go on a tour of the Scharffen Berger chocolate factory, see the Redwoods at Muir Woods, touch the Pacific Ocean at Muir Beach, go to a scrapbook store, and visit the native plant section of the Botanical Gardens at the University of California at Berkeley.
This photo is of an Anna’s Hummingbird taken in the native chaparral region of the botanical garden — never saw one of those before! There were several of them buzzing around and nectaring on manzanitas — those are way cool plants.
Those redwoods are unbelieveable too! If ever a tree should be called majestic, they’re it! They are the tallest tree in the world.
Welcome back! Love that bird! It looks like it’s wearing a red cap. Sounds like you had a lot of interesting things to do while in California!
It sounds like you had a super busy , wonderful trip ! The pictures are beautiful !
