Watercolor Crayons: Part 3

Here’s a third neat trick you can do with watercolor crayons — this time using an outline stamp instead of a bold stamp!

First, color directly on a stamp with watercolor crayons, mist and stamp as described in Watercolor Crayons: Part 1. Then, before the watercolors have a chance to dry, use a damp brush to blend the color around. You can also pick up color from what is left on the stamp! Wet the brush a little if you’re having trouble getting the color to move.

Supplies: Hero Arts outline rose (E3803), long writing background (F2674), watercolor paper (PS439 ), pink notecard (PS427), and water mist bottle (WM101). Impress be my Valentine. Patterned paper by K & Company.  Watercolor crayons by Lyra.

  3. Beautiful card and a great idea.

  4. Nice card! I like the look of overstamping on a patterned paper. I need to remember to try it more often in my own stamping! And I need to dig out my watercolor crayons too …

  5. Absolutely gorgeous card.

  6. Very pretty effect! I have to try crayon watercolours sometime.
