For my friend Barbara!

I’m mailing this card to my friend Barbara, but I told her I put it up here so she could see it now and not have to wait!

Barbara, you are brilliant, marvelous, awesome, amazing and a wonderful friend! So sorry I didn’t get a birthday card made in time — but you know how it’s been lately!

Would you believe I’ve had this “b” for months and months? I’ve been trying to come up with something to do it justice!

Can you tell it’s all cloudy and gloomy here today? It was 83 F Thursday, then went down in the 40’s on Friday, and right now at 11:00 am it is 31! Brr!!! I had to take this outside to get a decent shot.

Supplies: Hero Arts wavy circles border (F3797), printer’s lowercase alphabet (LL762), and wonderful friend (F3916). Big letter “b” by Basic Grey. Brad by Making Memories — love how it matches the wavy circles border! Fabriano top fold notecard. I used watercolor pencils to color the inside. Rubbed some Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink on the “b” and used Ancient Page chocolate for the rest!

Big hugs Barbara!

  3. Is the B for Barbara Hache? Great card…love the “tab” idea. An e-card is great for Canadians as it take the post sooo long to get there.

  4. Lucky, lucky Barbara! Hi Barbara!

  5. Hi Louise! Yep this is for Barbara Hache! We “met” a while back when Lay sent an email to all of the Hero Arts contest winners — don’t remember which contest it was but it’s been a few years! Barbara, do you remember which one it was? So glad we “met”!

  9. Hi Lisa!

I’m a stamper/cardmaker too–thanks so much for your great blog. I love all your cards so much, and your fantastic ideas.

I’m coming to Austin next month for a conference, and was wondering if there are any stamp stores I should check out? I live in Brooklyn, NY, and we only have one tiny, tiny store in Manhattan. (Apparently NYC rents aren’t conducive to rubber stamp stores.) I usually buy all my stamps off the internet. I’m also going to visit a friend in San Antonio–I saw that you recommended Stamp Antonio. Anywhere else?

    Thanks so much!
