Tonight was the monthly meeting of the Austin chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas — so that means it was time for Jason and I to pick a plant of the month. This month we chose Golden Groundsel — it’s one of our first wildflowers to bloom. I ran out to our garden to get a picture to use in the presentation and this cute skipper posed for me. This year because of the drought the bloom stalks are shorter, but the flowers are still pretty as ever.
