“no cooking” card!

Made this quick card to hold an Olive Garden gift certificate!

I’ve had this stove by Rubbermoon for a while now — was talking to my friend Barbara about stamps of appliances and that’s what made me think to use it. Thanks Barbara!

I wanted to use these colors because I just got these re-inkers — love these colors! The pattern is supposed to be like old 70’s wallpaper. Ha!

Supplies: Hero Arts Pinwheels stamp set — love these, they are some of my favorites from the 2006 catalog. Stove stamp by Rubbermoon — I used pop dots to attach it to the card front.  Rubbermoon has some really neat stamps, love that company.  Message done on the computer. Fabriano notecard. Safety pin by Hero Arts — I stapled the ribbon on the card and pinned the message to it. Tsukineko’s VersaColor pigment ink in sage, celadon, hyacinth, and lilac. Ancient Page chocolate. I used a white PrismaColor pencil to add the highlights to the stove. Don’t know who makes that purple paper, it was in my scrap box.

I LOVE this Lisa ! The colors are perfect !
I don’t know if I have this stamp – I’ll have to check. All of my Rubbermoon stamps are unmounted so they get forgotten in the little Tupperware boxes that house them.

  2. Mine is unmounted too! I’ll have to take a pic soon of how I organize my unmounteds — I don’t know of anyone who does it they way I do, ha! The are stuck on these plastic drawer liner things inside the drawers that house my stamps, so they are right next to the woodblock stamps.

Mine are in ziplock bags , inside of plastic Tupperware boxes, high up on a shelf with non-descript titles such as “characters” and “scenery” and “little stamps”.
I am actually thinking of mounting them all or even ordering the wood mounted versions. Mind you, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to use them all , even if they were more visible !

  4. Lisa…this card is very cool. It does remind me of the retro wallpaper. I’d love to see how you store your unmounteds. I just do the regular ‘ole cd cases and label them by company and stick them into the cd spinner holder.

Forgot to say that I am sooo into pinwheels right now so I love that little stamp you used. I have a little pinwheel die cut that I am always using.

  5. “no cooking”-thats my mantra! I need that to hand above my stove! LOVE the colors-you are the COLOR QUEEN!
