Quote book

Yesterday I finished up a quote book for the Rubberstamper Magazine Design Team Challenge — the challenge was to stamp an accordian book. Can’t share it here, but I can share the quotes! I love these. Makes me think about what’s important, especially with the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe. — John Muir

Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference. — Jane Goodall

That the situation appears hopeless should not prevent us from doing our best. — Aldo Leopold

Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence. — Henery David Thoreau

Oh, and for those in the Austin area — did anyone make it down to Bicycle Sport Shop to see Lance, Johan, Levi, and Ivan? I wanted to but we didn’t get home from a Native Plant Society meeting until almost 11 last night, and by the time I ate something and went to bed it was after midnight — I just couldn’t wake up this morning, and it takes me like 30-45 minutes to get there with workday traffic so I would have had to leave the house by 7, eeks!  BTW — that’s a great bike shop — it’s where I got my bike.

Like them all but especially the one by Jane Goodall. I don’t quite know how but somehow I want to use it…………………..on my Christmas cards maybe?????

  2. Hi Ingeborg!

Jane Goodall is just the best, I think I’ve read all of her books now.

Maybe that would be a good New Year’s card? Make a differnce in 2007!

    Hugs,
    Lisa

  3. You didn’t get out of bed to Ivan in person!!! Now I would have given up the whole nights sleep for that privilege!

    Happy Holidays –

  4. Hi Kathy! I know I know! I had the alarm set — but I just couldn’t wake up. My mind was screaming Levi! Ivan! Lance! Johan! But the body wasn’t willing. I’ve been working long hours since last week too, so that didn’t help either. I’m worn out, and the holidays aren’t here yet.

    Sigh.

Oh well, at least I got to see the pics on The Paceline. Have you seen ’em yet?

Oh and what’s the deal with Jan?  This whole Operacion Puerto thing seems like a crock!

  5. I am stealing some of those for work!!!
