Yesterday’s post made me remember that I made some more thank you cards a while back that I haven’t posted yet. This one was for Jason’s Grandma — we stayed with her over Christmas, it was fun. And she taught us how to make oatmeal — I’ve been eating it about every morning since — much tastier than the little packets you buy at the store — plus it is cheaper and better for the environment, too! Here’s the recipe:
1/4 cup quick oats
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon brown sugar
A few raisins + nuts (optional)
Dash of saltMicrowave for one minute, stir, poor a little milk over the top (also optional) and eat! Simple and yummy. I’ve also tried adding cinnamon, fruit, etc — it’s all good!
Supplies: All stamps, gems and notecard by Hero Arts. That is a mix of woodblock and clear stamps — who says you can’t mix? Colored with pencils.
