Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!  Looks like it’s going to be a great day!  Had tons of fun at Jason’s holiday office party last night — got to meet J’s co-workers — some really super nice people — plus they had a chocolate fountain — YUM!!!  I took a picture with my phone but haven’t had a chance to download it — more on that later…

For now, I thought I’d share some cards that are over on the Hero Blog today that are inspired by my special guest — Dawn McVey!  Oh and see that spikey thing that is holding up the first card?  Dawn told me about it — it’s called a “florist frog” or “flower frog”.  It’s great for holding up cards like this. I’ve been wanting one for ages and ages but never knew what they were called — so never knew what to look for — thanks again Dawn!   I got mine at Smith & Hawken (Warning: this link can be dangerous to gardening nuts.  You have been warned!)  You can find them on eBay, too.

For materials and tips, and to see the cards Dawn made, click on over to the Hero Blog! Oh and there’s TWO giveaways, too!

Have a great weekend everyone!  I’m hoping to put up our tree…!  Is yours up yet?

  1. Hi Lisa, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. That is a pretty nifty little gadget. I went to Mardens discount store last weekend and found these flat metal strips made to screw on a wall and they come with 6 flat round magnets. They are 2 for a buck! So I used foam tape to tack them on a square piece of stiff cardboard, one at bottom and one on top. But I need to get 6 more and it will cover the entire baord. Then I can use it to hold my layouts or cards while I design them. For a total of 4 bucks thats not bad.

  2. Great Cards Today Lisa…Thank you for a wonderful week!

  3. Awesome cards today, Lisa! Thank you so much for sharing! Have a beautiful weekend!

  4. All of your cards are so happy, Lisa! A true optimist you are, I bet!

Our tree is up, but undecorated as our furnace went out in that part of the house, and we have to wait until Wednesday to get a new one. Bad timing, it’s to go into the teens overnight this weekend……..Brrrrrrrr. Flannel sheets on the bed!! (We have 2 furnaces, so the whole house is not cold, just 2 rooms!)
