When Kristina Werner posted her color challenge this week, I thought “oh no, I don’t have any of those colors”. Here they are — not my normal color combo:
I was bummed I wouldn’t get to play. But then as I was cleaning my super grande mega huge mess from doing the Hero Blog this week, I came across two things: a green chipboard piece and my set of Woodland Creatures. A lightening bolt went off and I instantly thought of Squirrel Nutkin! Never heard of Squirrel Nutkin? It’s “a Tale about a tail – a tail that belonged to a little red squirrel whose name is Nutkin.”
I just love those Beatrix Potter books — gonna have to get them from the library again. I can sit and look at the illustrations for hours — so inspiring — and the tales are too funny!
Supplies: All stamps by Hero Arts. Prismacolor pencils. Chipboard piece form My Mind’s Eye. Little flower from Savvy Stamps — I colored on it with pencils too — to make it match the color challenge better. Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Wow! This card is beautiful, I love the embossed background! :)
Your card is gorgeous. I’m a fan of Beatrix Potter too. I have all her little books in one big book. It’s so beautiful. My favorite is Tom kitten (my son’s name is Tom too but that is a coincidence).
Eveline.
