Hi there blog readers! I’ve been looking through the submissions for the first ever Scribble This! challenge — and I have just one word: WOW! BIG kudos to all who participated. I hope to have some featured submissions up here tomorrow — but in the meantime, I thought you’d like to get ready for the next challenge because you’ll need some photo editing software such as Photoshop Elements, CS3, or GIMP!
What’s GIMP, you ask? It’s FREE software that’s super similar to Photoshop — in both features + controls. In fact, if you’ve never used Photoshop and aren’t sure if it’s right for you, save money and try out GIMP! Click on over here and download the latest released version. Besides, who can resist that cute face?
Yaaaayyyy for GIMP! I can’t wait to see this challenge Lisa! Hope I can participate!
Glad to see you had a great mini-getaway! :-)
Hi,
I just wanted to say, that I am also a user of the GIMP for a couple of years now.
You often see Photoshop users in the “Crafting” Scene. In the meantime you can also use the photohop brushes, masks, patterns etc with the GIMP. A huge advantage iMHO. And I think that lots of people fear that there are not enough resources for the GIMP. But that changed… really ;-)
Greetings from Germany,
Gabriele
Hi, Lisa! I love that GIMP is a free, open-source solution! I must confess that I have Photoshop CS3, but it costs so much to upgrade each time. My husband and I are beginning to migrate toward open source solutions … and I think GIMP is in my future!
WOW! thanks Lisa–
never heard of it
I’m downloading it!
