Hope you’re having a good weekend! I’ve been busy busy, but I had to take a few minutes out to create a super quick card for Kristina’s Color Challenge #54 — it’s been kicking around in my noggin all week. Do you ever have that feeling where you get an idea and you just HAVE to stamp it?
Anyhow, here are the challenge colors — so yummy!
And, here’s my card! The idea I had was that this birdie was about the same shape as this QuicKutz one that I cut with my Silhouette — so I thought I’d put her over one of the squares for a “one of a kind” theme:
And, here’s the inside! I wanted to keep it kinda simple since it’s for J. Reads “J, our love is one of a kind, heart L”.
Supplies: Bird, plaid background + message by Hero Arts, white Inksentials pen by Ranger, sparkle embossing powder, square border by QuicKutz, (I cut the green heart by hand), Cuttlebug branch embossing folder (for the green heart) colored pencils, and cardstock.
Okay, off to go give this to him and eat dinner — homemade spaghetti sauce, one of our faveorites. YUM!
Oh! But first I thought I’d give you a tip. To make the dashed lines around the edges, I just put repositionable adhesive on the inside blue piece and traced around it.
Updated with a quote from J: “That’s awesome hon! Love you!”
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,
So ‘tweet’! You create the bestest cards!
