For the third challenge in the Scribble This! series, learn how to make your images look sharp as a tack! Here’s how to enter the challenge:
- First, read this tutorial that covers two ways to sharpen your images.
- Next, create a card with any theme. Post a picture before you sharpen it and again after. You can use any sharpening filter that you like. Write about any interesting discoveries!

Thanks for another great demo! You are makin’ my cards look goooood! Sharpening is one of those great features I didn’t know much about and now do! The results are very subtle on my blog but muuuuch more obvious when zoomed in on my computer. Thanks a bunch!
So, I kinda got really frustrated with this… I don’t know if it was because I didn’t have my glasses so everything was blurry or because I just don’t know how to work the stinkin’ computer! lol. anyways thanks for more great tips!
Yes I’m that Jane with a hundred links!! Sorry! I’m so not friends with my computer……or any computer that is! I think I got it right finally!
Hi Jane! I took out the extra links. Thanks for entering, love those BUTTONS! Yum. :)
Thanks Lisa. I’m really enjoying your tips and tricks! Looking forward to the next step :)
Hi Lisa, I only just found your blog tutorials and I posted my link. Can I just say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for doing these card photo editing tutorials. And an especially BIG thank you for including GIMP in your instructions. I don’t have PSE etc. and free is pretty much my budget if I want to keep buying those wonderful Hero Arts stamps. I want to know ANYTHING you can teach me about using GIMP. consider me your sponge.
{smooches} for sharing your wonderful tips.
Jen
Oh, Man! I thought the deadline was tonight, I just finished my post and came to put in the link and found it closed! Oh well, thanks for the tips! :)
