Hi everyone, can you believe it’s Friday? I sure can’t! But I’m so happy because my in-laws are coming from Ohio for a week long visit, yay! And I feel so lucky that I can say that and really mean it, because I love them both.
My MIL is a stamper and a crafter, just like me. I have supplies at-the-ready for two fun projects that I’ve been wanting to make, can’t wait to show you. And I have a feeling we’ll be getting inky, too, ha!
Until then, I thought I’d share some photos that I took at my in-laws’ house just a few weeks ago — I just love bare branches in the winter and can’t get enough of them. They make me feel so peaceful and joyful. I took them all the same evening, love how the light changed.
Boy are they in for a shock when they arrive here in Austin though — everything is still green.
Bet they won’t mind, though.
AND! Those velvet ribbons I used as photo corners are a new premium download from Katrina at Pugly Pixel. How did she know they would go perfectly with these photos? Thanks so much Katrina!
Hope you have a very happy weekend! Do you have any fun plans?
Can’t wait to get there. I’m ready to get crafty and inky and spending some time with you and Jason. Let the fun begin!!!! See you tomorrow. Love, MOM
You have a great attitude about bare branches, Lisa! To me they’re slightly depressing because it means we’re losing so much green. But I must admit that your pictures ARE peaceful; I’ll try to think of them this way from now on!
And yes, I think your in-laws won’t mind that Austin is green :) I’ll be coming down for Christmas to see our Liam – can’t wait! So could you do what you can to keep it green and warm, please?
I like bare branches and trees in winter. I love looking into the woods as we pass by and I love seeing the “bones” of the trees. And sunrises and sunsets are so fabulous through bare branches!!! Have a great week!
always love seeing your photos, Lisa. they are beautiful! have a fabulous week with your in laws! we are planning on going to a free glass blowing event. looking forward to it!
Beautiful photos, Lisa! Can’t imagine that everything is green over there – we are covered in tons of snow right now! I already have enough of it and would prefer it to be green again :) Can’t wait for spring to come to see my flowers bloom again! Have a fab weekend!
These photos are so beautiful, Lisa! Have fun getting inky with your MIL! I’m STILL putting up the Christmas decorations around the house. (I think I work too many hours at my job!) We also had to dig out this morning after getting a FOOT, yup. . .that’s right, 12 inches of snow last night! Lots of shoveling, but it sure is pretty! Hugs to you! :)
