Thinking of You

Made this card for my Grandma — she is home from the assisted living facility after falling and breaking her hip. Hope it makes her smile. So far she’s in pretty good spirits and is glad to be home!

I colored the flower with watercolor pencils, and then after it dried I pierced the paper around the stitches in the flower with a needle. It really makes it look like stitches! It looks even more real when you emboss the stitches, but I was too lazy to get out the embossing powder last night, ha!

Supplies: Hero Arts Stitched Rectangles (H4039), Stitched Spring Flower (F4156), and Pocketful o’ Sunny Messages (LL123). Patterned paper and notecard both by Memory Box. Love how the patterned paper looks like material!

  2. Thanks, hope she likes it! I didn’t get the flower exactly where I wanted it, but it was my last piece of that paper so I went with it!
