Howdy all! It’s cold here in Central Texas — 30 right now and falling — feels like 18 with the windchill. We had a bit of freezing rain earlier today and more is expected tonight and tomorrow — they’re calling for .5″ ice — zoiks!
Those from up north will be laughing, I know — but Texans don’t know how to drive in this kind of weather and there’s usually wrecks all over the place — in fact, there was an 8 car pileup not far from our house this morning. Plus our oak trees all have leaves on them, and when they get coated with ice branches fall and we have power outtages — fun fun.
I have a card made that I wanted to take a picture of, but it was so dim today that it just didn’t happen. We’ll see about tomorrow. In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed that the power stays on…
Ice isn’t good no matter where you live. Stay home and keep warm. Look forward to seeing your card.
Hi Lisa ! I did have to laugh , especially when you said ” Those from up north will be laughing, I know” ! We are in a cold spell here too .It has been -40 with the wind chill.You can imagine how cold that is since Fahrenheit and Celsius meet up at -40 . :-)
Keep warm and I hope your power stays on. Here the weather is just a minor inconvenience …………
