A Tribute to Lady Bird Johnson

Lady Bird passed away about an hour ago. Read the tribute here.

One of my many favorite quotes by her:

Wherever I go in America, I like it when the land speaks its own language in it’s own regional accent. Lady Bird Johnson, 1993

I’m sad, but I will do my part to help continue the work that she started.

Thanks, Lisa for that great quote from Lady Bird Johnson. She added so much to America’s beauty and created a great love for wildflowers.

  2. I believe my favorite quote is “Though the word beautification makes the concept sound merely cosmetic, it involves much more: clean water, clean air, clean roadsides, safe waste disposal and preservation of valued old landmarks as well as great parks and wilderness areas. To me…beautification means our total concern for the physical and human quality we pass on to our children and the future.”

  3. I just watched a special on her. She had cool views for living in the time she did.
