I’ve been going through my photos of cards I did for the Hero Arts 2009 Catalog and I came across one of my faves using the new Smile Tree + Screen Shadow — and I just had to post it!
This was easy to make — I just inked the top part of the Screen Shadow with Soft Pool shadow ink to make a sky, and part of the bottom with Soft Green shadow ink to make a hill. Then I stamped the tree in brown. I used the tree to stamp along the edges of the Kraft notecard base, too! I used colored pencils to define the hill, add grass, and color the leaves on the tree.
I gotta make some more of these, I think it would be a great card to have on hand + send a smile.
I plan on switching out my slide show over there in the sidebar with lots more 2009 catalog cards soon. It’s taking me a bit to go through them all, whew. Stay tuned…!
Supplies: All stamps, notecards and gems by Hero Arts. (Those are both new 2009 stamps — the card is on page 57 of the catalog.) Silk ribbon by Creative Impressions. Prismacolor colored pencils. Tonic paper edge distressor.
