Amy Butler paper — swoon!

When I went to my local scrapbook store the other day they had Amy Butler’s Lotus paper right near the door — I’ve been a big Amy fan for ages, love her fabric — swoon! Such yummy colors — grey!  yellow! red! lime! — + patterns.  I wanted to snap up the whole display, but I restrained myself to just 8 sheets.  Somehow.  Kinda kicking myself now, might have to go back!

Anyhow, as one of my resolutions is to stop hoarding paper, I decided to dive right in and play with one of the sheets.

That’s a new heart from Hero Arts — I embossed it and added pearls

Made two of these cards — one as a thank you and one as an anniversary card for my SIL.  Hi Jamie!  Here’s the inside of the thank you one — love this message

Then I decided to use the woodgrain heart that’s in the set — you know how I *heart* woodgrain, ha ha!

There was a little scrap of paper from where I trimmed the first card, couldn’t let that go to waste!  So I broke out another woodgrain stamp I’d been wanting to try

There’s still almost a half sheet left… must. not. hoard. it.

Supplies: Hero Arts Clear Design Printed Flowers, Clear Design Hugs and Hearts, pearls, button, pink, cream and yellow notecards.  Ribbons by American Crafts, except for the cream velvet — that’s by Maya Road.  Prismacolor pencils.  Little tiny pink heart gems by A Muse — I’ve been hoarding these beauties for a while now.  Square dies by Nestabilities, used in my Cuttlebug.  Florist wire for the flower stem. Amy Butler Lotus Faded China Full Moon Dot Flat Paper by K & Company.

LOVE your cards Lisa! I’m SO excited to see the new catalog (and pick stamps for my day on the blog)!!! I had been thinking about picking the Hugs n’ Hearts but then took it off my list… now you’re making things difficult for me. ;)

I have been trying to find out the size of the Scallop Background stamp… the solid one that looks like is has some slight splattering on it. Do you happen to know the size?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Sarah!

So glad you stopped lurking, hee hee! :)

First off, a BIG congratulations on winning a day on the Hero Blog! I just know you’ll have tons of fun, and can’t wait to see what you do — I’m a big fan of your work! YAY! :D

Next on the scallop background stamp — do you mean K5147 on page 82? The stamp part on that one is about 3 1/8 inches wide (8 cm). Hope that helps! And I LOVE that stamp, so yummy.

  12. Lisa, these cards are fantastic!  So cheery and fun.  Love ’em!

It’s been a while since I’ve visited your blog – it looks FABULOUS!  I like your “remodel”.
