Sunny morning smile!

Ever since I saw Hero Art’s Russian Doll stamps I had this idea kicking around in my brain to make them into some sort of fabric doll. Finally had the chance the other day — yay! Here’s the front:

And here’s the back!

I plan to put her on my kitchen windowsill — can’t wait to see her sunny smile in the mornings.

This was so easy to do using Claudine Hellmuth’s Sticky Back Canvas — I love how you can stamp on it and not lose any of the little details.  Click on over to the Hero Club Blog for full materials + instructions.

Sunny morning smiles to you!

  10. Lisa, that fabric Russian little doll adorable :) I love the cards you’ve done with the nestabilities dies and have a question. With all the new releases just out if you were to pick one or two to use in your card making which ones would you go for/use the most? I have Labels 1, large circles and large classic scalloped circles and would love to add another couple of the new sets but just can’t make up my mind. TIA

    1. Hi Chantille, you’ve got my favorites right there! I’d have to go with the scalloped squares, Labels 2, scalloped rectangle, and curved rectangle. I like to make mini cards with the rectangle ones — put the die so that it is a little past the fold — fun!

  11. Oh this is super duper adorable, Lisa!! I’m not a sewing girl, but I might need to give this one a try!! My daughters would love it! :) Your work is always inspiring!
