Yesterday we left Tokyo around 7:00 am to head to Nikko — wow, what a great day! Nikko has several beautiful shrines, including the famous one with the “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” monkeys. I’ll share some pictures of that later — I took a gazillion!
Nikko is surrounded by mountains — and the air smelled wonderful! Plus there was moss everywhere. Ahhh.
We just had to go hiking for a few hours on one of the mountain trails. So peaceful. I almost expected to see a totoro at any moment.
We’re heading out on an adventure to Japan’s largest national park, Daisetsu-zan, in Hokkaido this evening. Can’t wait! It’s pretty remote, and I’m not sure if we’ll have internet access, so this may be my last post from Japan.
I’ll still be taking lots of pictures, tho!
Oh and, speaking of pictures! I ended up getting the choco version of the Fuji Instax camera and I love it! I got it in Akihabara at Yodobashi camera — I think it was around $60 US. I saw several people using Fuji Instax cameras yesterday at the shrines in Nikko — but none with the choco version, ha!
Okay, off to pack!
Still glad to see you are having so much fun and enjoy your photos! Great to hear your updates!!
cool! u got the choco one, and its totally the right choice! ^.^ seems like its really slightly cheaper to get it right there… i think i will buy the films first and go over to get the camera… =)
