Hi everyone, have you been having a good week so far? I have, it’s really beginning to look like spring! I wanted to share a super quick card that I made this morning, that hopefully looks fancy-shmancy:
Wood you believe that the card was inspired by pillows? Oh yes!
I saw these sweet little lambs over at the Purl Bee yesterday and they went straight on my “things I must make someday” list. As I happen to have all the felt needed, I’m hoping to make them before spring is over, ha ha!
(Supplies: Woodgrain, flower and message by Hero Arts. Tim Holtz distress inks in crushed olive, peeled paint, spun sugar, and barn red, plus Momento rich cocoa (for the message), Versamark (for stamping the flowers), clear embossing powder, and Hero Hues latte chalk ink (for the woodgrain). I used this reverse resist technique, so fun!)
Have you been inspired by anything unusual lately? I’d love to hear!
Wow, Lisa, this card is so beautiful!
I just saw the picture of the felt pillows on my friend’s shared items folder on my reader. I was looking at the woodgrain pillow with admiration and my friend has found interest in the lamb pillows.
It’s amazing how each person finds something else that grabs his attention, while looking at the very same picture.
Oh, Lisa. I *adore* these. Gorgeous! Thought of you today when I noticed that the Mountain Laurel is finally blooming right outside my office window. Hugs from down 35!
Of course I believe it! SHUT UP!!! So GAAAAW-JUS, girl!
In LOVE with this! Just gorgeous! The woodgrain plus silhouette stamp is brilliant!
Love the card. It is spring like weather in Ohio today. It is 52. Just got back from Cleveland. Found a great quilt shop with the best fabric. MOM
What a neat idea, to use the woodgrain over an image … ooo!
This is very neat, Lisa! It made me think of an old rose growing against the side of a shed. Really unique!
Girl, you are so stinkin’ talented! I LOVE your designs!! Hugs!
Lovely!
very pretty simple card and love where you find the inspiration!
Gorgeous card, Lisa! So elegant! I’m often inspired by interior design magazines. Not so unusual right, but they do seem to do the trick for me. That lamb pillow is just the cutest :) I want one of those too!
Loving that woodgrain look against the flowers! Beautiful use of the TH inks, and those lambs are so darling!
You are way too creative!! I LOVE the woodgrain idea…too cool and it came out beautifully. You need to start selling these things…I would love this card :)
great card and great sheep pillows!
