From the moment I saw Hero Art’s new Floral Scallop stamp I thought it was a huge patch of super lucky shamrocks. Then I noticed the name — floral scallop — whaaaa? Then I thought, why not make it both ways?
And then! As I was searching for messages to use with it, I had an idea for what to put on the outside and the inside!
Ha ha ha ha!
Have you made your St. Patrick’s Day card yet? No worries, it’s your lucky day! Here’s some free digi kits so you can print one up in a flash:
- 74 Lime Lane has this card, all ready to go! My printer died and I didn’t get to make it, so bummed. If you print one, let me know!
- Two Peas in a Bucket has this free digi kit with lots of fun stuff (that I couldn’t print either…)
Do you have any fun St. Patrick’s Day plans? I’ve got a little surprise for supper for J — if you haven’t guessed, that top card is for him. :) On tonight’s menu — lotsa green food:
- Spinach pasta
- More spinach to go in the sauce
- A salad with spring greens
- And! A green cupcake from Cupprimo
A word of warning: one year I made green eggs and ham ala Dr. Suess, and neither one of us could eat it! The eggs turned a revolting neon color, bleg. This year’s menu should be much better.
The luck o’ the Irish to you,
Clever girl, you!!! :)
These are SO pretty Lisa ! I love what you did with this stamp !
Ok, that is just such a good idea, Lisa! And so pretty! (And I *love* the photo of the cupcake!) Happy St. Patty’s to you!
I’m *green* with envy! :)
Too cute Lisa! And your dinner sounds YUMMY – maybe I should leave the kids and Daddy with the green fish and rice, and sneak over to your house. LOL!!
OMG, these cards are fabulous! I love your stuff so much. I saw you over on Libby’s blog (one of my other faves)- it made me happy. :)
I like the stamp either way! Both the cards are lovely! No St-Patricks day here, but that cupcake looks so yummy and so perfect!
Lisa- I am a lurker on your blog, and I just had to comment on your cards today. While I love the flower/shamrock dual use, what I absolutely adore was how you did the sentiment! What a simple and cool way to dress up your cards! I hope you don’t mind if I CASE this idea!!!
Hi Merri! Sure thing on CASEing! It would be much appreciated if you told people you saw it here :)
Love both cards!! Those are my favorite color combos, separate or together, so beautiful and I’m swooning over that cupcake…look at the little sugary crystals on that thing!
Perfect idea Lisa. Can I ask what font you use on your words on your pictures? I love it, I want it.

Hi Linda! It’s called kushtie, I got it for free from dafont.com. Now it can be yours! :)
