Happy Sweet 16!

Hi all! How has your week been going so far? Mine has been rushing past! Still getting ready for CHA, the Craft and Hobby Show in Chicago. I leave on Sunday and there’s so much to do before then!

I thought I’d take a minute to show you a card I made a while back for a sweet girl who turned 16 — Divya! She liked the card. :)

I used my Silhouette to cut the card out — that’s what made the “birthday” on the front. And the neatest thing? There’s a cake that pops up inside:

Then I used the Silhouette again to cut out the “16” for the inside — it uses any font that you have on your computer.

Supplies: Curly Flower stamp by Hero Arts, patterned paper Doodlebug, I think. I put glitter glue on the flowers.  I don’t know if you can tell, but the patterned paper has a neat sheen to it.  I even used some to line the envelope with. I colored the flowers with pencils.

And! An update on the pillowcase skirt — I didn’t have a chance to make it this weekend, but I hope to do it soon because I want to wear it to CHA! I’ll post pics if/when I get it done. :)

Have a sweet day,

  1. Lisa,
You are awesome!!! I thought the card was just too cool and now after seeing your blog post about it, I think the pictures you took of the card ( with the reflection) are cooler :-) Divya is away, so am replying for her in conveying her thanks for the cute cards you made for her. The card is going into the scrapbook the younger two made for their older sister.

  2. Wow! What a Sweet 16th card! So inspiring! LOVE the colors and details …that pop-up cake is “out of this world”!
