Hero Arts 2011 Catalog Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to my little stop on the Hero Arts 20101 Blog Hop! You should be arriving here from the mega talented Teri Anderson’s blog. If you are just starting out on the hop or missed any, you can head back to the beginning right here.

I just love catalog time — it’s so exciting! I just counted them up and this is the 6th Hero Arts catalog that worked on. Can’t believe it. And you know what? It’s still just as exciting!

The other thing I love about catalog time? It comes out during the holidays! That was my inspiration for this card using THREE new 2011 Hero Arts Catalog stamps — and one holiday stamp, too.

What are the three NEW 2011 Catalog Stamps, you ask?

  • Musical Walk (F5468): I think this stamp with the happy children holding trumpets would be great for any kind of announcements, from births to Christmas! I stamped it in Hero Hues Poppy Chalk ink to give it a velvety finish.
  • Envelope Pattern (S5507): This is one of my favorite new background stamps, I think it’s so versatile! I stamped it using Pumice Stone Distress ink to go with all the silver and kinda give it a linen-like look. I have a thing for security envelopes and save them to use in all kinds of projects, but the color selection is kinda limited — now I can stamp them in whatever color I want! And! Wouldn’t it be fun to create an envelope liner with this stamp? Oh yeah!
  • Classic Fabric Design (CG245): I stamped this elegant background with Hero Arts Soft Blossom dye ink on a Carnation notecard. I think it looks just like Victorian wallpaper! Someday soon I want to try flocking it, wouldn’t that look grand?

Want to see some more?

I just love using GLITTER doing the holidays! So I outlined the die cut with it, and stamped the message with tinsel embossing powder. It’s kinda hard to photograph, hope you can get a feel for the sparkle.

And! I was inspired by this pretty vintage glittery holly to make my own using Hero Art’s Felt Joy and Holly. I love how it ties everything all together.

I just added some silver glitter glue and spread it around with my finger — ta dah! Instant vintage.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget, there are lotsa great prizes to be had just for leaving a comment on any of the 24 participating blogs. The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to WIN!

Now, cruise on over to the next stop on the hop — the one, the only, the mega-super-duper-simply fantabulous Julie Ebersole!

Hugs of happiness and joy to all,
