Shut the front door! Oh how I love these new Hero Arts + Studio Calico stamps! YAH!
What I don’t like? The wind! I took this card “on location” to photo it and the wind knocked the card over and a gem fell off the right side. I didn’t notice it then, oh darn. So, pretend like it’s there, okay? Okay.
So, I thought I’d share a little trick I love to do with frame stamps like this one from I Love Books (ST506): make a reverse mask and stamp on the inside! Just grab a Post-it note, stamp the frame stamp, and cut out the middle like so:
You can cut right through the frame, no worries — it will work just fine. Then stamp something on the inside — in this case, I stamped the house from the Home Sweet Home set (ST513). Then I left the frame in place and sponged on Peeled Paint and Tumbled Glass Distress inks using an ink applicator from Ranger.
Then I broke out my trusty Copic markers and colored the house and trees.
And I just gotta share one last trick today! See how the “shut the front door” message is underlined? Well that’s a line stamp from My Happy set (ST508). LOVE this set, it has the sweetest clouds! One is even woodgrain! GAH! Here’s a little peek at the stamps I used:

Such a cute card!!
That color palette is brilliant. And I absolutely adore the way you layered the stamps behind the focal point. Those stripes (or is it a chevron?) are hot.
Great card! Love the bold colors!
