Caring Hearts Card Drive Blog Hop!

Hi everyone and welcome to my little stop on the Caring Hearts Card Drive blog hop! You should have arrived here via the super talented Ashley Harris. For the full list of participants just click here to Vera’s blog.
This is Vera’s 3rd annual Caring Hearts Card Drive to collect holiday cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes. Read more, and hope you can join in — it’s such a good cause!

Now to my card! I got the inspiration for the card from the Caring Hearts Card drive logo :)

Here’s a closeup so you can see it better! First I heat embossed the fabulous BasicGrey Aspen Frost Poinsettia background on pink cardstock, die cut it, then applied worn lipstick and festive berries distress inks plus a little vintage photo around the edges.

The banner was done in a similar way, white embossing the message, then rubbing it with evergreen bough and vintage photo inks. The background is awesome paper from the Aspen Frost 6×6 pad, which I edged with a little tea dye and iced spruce distress. Put it all together, add some pearls, and that’s it! A card from the heart.

It was super easy to put together, thanks to the fabulous banner die and heart from Simon Says Stamp! They are just one of the many awesome companies that are offering prizes for the hop, which includes Bella Blvd, Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn, Avocado Arts, May Arts, Two Peas in a Bucket, Some Odd Girl, and Jennifer McGuire is offering two Online Card Classes!

We will randomly pick winners left on all the blogs in the hop, so the more blogs you visit and the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win! WOO!  You have until Monday, Nov 5 at midnight CST to enter.

Now head on back to Vera’s blog right HERE. Thanks so much Vera for having me as part of the hop! And thanks for all you do — this truly is a great cause.

Happy hopping! xo
