I wanted to make a thank you card for my good friend Scott — he treated J and I to dinner at Kerbey Lane Cafe yesterday, and Kristina’s color challenge was just the ticket to get started! The leaves under the flower instantly reminded me of the cherry trees we saw on our hike, and that made me think of the pretty little warblers we saw flitting around…

Leaf die cut by Sizzix (used in my cuttlebug). Yellow patterned paper by Bo Bunny. Ribbon by Making Memories. Brown marker (Marvy) to dot the birds’ eyes.

This is so pretty, Lisa. I love the text background; such a nice contrast. I would have never thought of using yellow as leaves but it totally works! The pearls are just the perfect thing to anchor everything. Simply lovely!!
