an owl!  Bet you thought I was going to say a squirrel, ha ha ha!

J got me this owl for Christmas, love it!  I just love this new houndstooth shadow stamp from Hero, too — I want to use it on everything.

But wait!  What’s this?

Could it be?

Yes!  A squirrel!  Hee hee.

It’s a smaller version of the one that I used the last few days — I couldn’t make up my mind which size I liked better, so J got me both for Christmas.  So glad he did.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Supplies: Houndstooth, flourish branch that the owl is sitting on, pink, white and red heart pearls by Hero Arts.  Be my Valentine by Impress. Ribbon by Creative Impressions.  Fancy edges on the owl created with a Nestabilities die — that card is about 5 1/4 x 4″ to give you an idea.  Squirrel + owl dies by QuicKutz.  Heart die by Cuttlebug.  Brown polka dot notecard by A Muse.  Patterned paper by Making Memories.  (Yep, I’d been hoarding it too.)  Oh and I forgot to add — the white inside the flourish was done with a Ranger Inksentials white pen.

  1. The cards are adorable. Love the houndstooth owl too cute and love that you have momma and baby squirrels. :)  What size is that owl card? Love the shape of the card and wondering what you did?

  2. Hi Suzz!  I want to make a momma + baby squirrel card together, you read my mind!  I think it will have to be a bigger card, because the big squirrel is 4×4″ and the small one is 2×2″…

To give you an idea on the owl card, it’s about 5 1/4″ wide x 4″ high.  Love my nesties!!!  :)

Ashley, sorry to be an enabler, hee hee!  But I LOVE squirrels!!  :)

  3. You are so creative.  And it is neat that you have those little/big squirrels and that owl. Adorable!
And you did a great job making the cards.

  4. Hi Cassi — I just positioned the nestie so that it hung over the fold of the card a little bit and then put it through my cuttlebug — super easy.  :)

  5. Oh my goodness, you’re killin’ me with cuteness and QK!

The stuff you’ve been doing with this group of dies is just above and beyond what I normally see done with diecuts!  I love ’em all!
