Cloudy, grey days are really rare here in Central Texas, so I enjoy them whenever we get ’em! I actually made this card yesterday (when it was sunny, as usual) but didn’t get to take a picture. Woke up this morning and it was all cloudy and I thought “oh darn”. But then I thought “oh no, this is perfect!”
I so wish I had an umbrella like this. WITH the birdie.
This was a super easy card to make — all I did was trim the paper, adhere it to a notecard, add glitter glue along the edge and an orange gem to the dress. Simple.
Here’s the inside — I stamped the message with grey chalk ink to go with the grey on the front — thought it was classier than black! And, that’s some new orange masking tape that I snapped up a while back. It’s from a little shop called Ginko Papers — they carry all kinds of neato paper goods from Japan. Yum. The owner is super nice, too!
Oh and! If you are in Austin and you’re reading this, start doing your rain dance!
Supplies: Clear Design Sky’s the Limit, orange gem (on the dress), and Tall White Notecard by Hero Arts. Grey chalk ink. Masking tape from Ginko Papers — I actually got the orange, pink, blue and yellow because I couldn’t decide. Now I want the lime too! Patterned paper by Autumn Leaves. White Lace glitter glue by Ranger.
