Hi everyone, hope you’re having a fun weekend!  I took a little break and created a quick card with leftover pieces from when I made this card and this one:

butterfly-full-rounded-s

butterfly-trio-s

(Supplies: Butterfly and brocade background stamps, gems, and notecard by Hero Arts, “hi, friend” by A Muse, ribbon and safety pin by Making Memories.  Pattern paper and embossing powder by American Crafts.  Tag die cut by Cuttlebug.  I misted the butterfly with Perfect Pearls in water — can’t stop doing that.  Colored with Copic markers.  The antennae are made with thread.)

When I have my supplies out I can never stamp just one of something — do you do this too?  I started doing it so that when I mess up I have a backup — and if I don’t mess up, I end up with lots of extra cards to send to friends and family!

Happy weekend hugs,

  1. Beautiful, Lisa!  Aqua is one of my favorite colors – it’s my birthstone, and makes me think of the beautiful Caribbean waters.  So dreamy!

  2. what a gorgeous card and made from scraps..isnt that fantastic..if you ever have an extra card (floating) around ..you could always send it to me lol…hugs JAN
p.s are your butterflies the hero arts digital..if so check out my tag i created with those..jan

  3. Love the colors on this card! Yes, sometimes I end up with extras. A lot of times I throw the extra pieces into a small box and forget about them… I should have a “leftover” day of creating each month or something. =)

  4. One project always seems to lead to another for me too.  I don’t do extras on purpose, sometimes it’s a certain sketch that  I feel the need to make in different colors with different images.
