Hi everyone! I’m super exited and honored to be a guest designer for Ellen over in the CLASSroom! I have been a HUGE fan of Ellen’s for years and years, she is so sweet, generous, and kind. Here’s a little peek at what I’ve come up with using this awesome new die from Savvy Stamps:
And that ribbon? Wait until you read about the ribbon! It along with the Hero Arts Envelope liner stamp are fast being some of my stamping “must-haves”!

Amazing card. I’ll be buying that poppy die for sure, after seeing this beauty!
Absolutely love your work and excited to see you contributing to the CLASSroom with such a beautiful card! Also, I have to tell you that I was totally inspired to buy the neon inks by Hero Arts based on the cards you made. (I was a skeptic about neon, but after seeing you work with the new colors, I couldn’t resist!)
Gorgeous card – I love all the ways you added shimmer & shine to the card – it must be stunning IRL! And the stitching at the centre of the poppy looks incredible. Thanks for the chance to win (Ellen Hutson is super generous & don’t get me started on what incredible service her store provides – one of my favorite places to shop!).
LOVE those poppies! They are one of my very most favorite flowers…I love how they look so fragile and like tissue paper…(the real flower, that is!) But using perfect pearls gives them such a wonderful shimmer! Fantastic card!
Lisa-what a great way to add depth and dimension to the poppy die cuts. They look fabulous – I purchased the die to cut out felt for a card, but I am so inspired to use your coloring techniques with paper. Thanks for sharing.
Great lesson in the Classroom! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love this cards. It speaks to my style clean and simple. The poppies pop of the page and the burlap adds such a nice touch of texture.
I love everything about your project!
Lisa, as usual, you’ve done a wonderful job of creating a gorgeous card with this new die. Gotta have it and the metal shim as well. Thanks for sharing your talents with those of us who love to stamp, but aren’t so talented as you.
PS, The way you used the holes in the die cut to sew lines around the center makes the center look like a real life poppy. Brilliant idea. Thanks again.
LOOOOOOVE this card, Lisa – the colors are so clear and poppy-like :)) And love them against that new background stamp, too – gorge!
