Hi there! I’m on deck over at Simon Says Stamp, sharing some art journaling that I did all about the great times I’ve had at Presque Isle . It’s an awesome place on Lake Erie — just love it. Hoping that I can go back there when I go home to visit my Dad in a few weeks!
(I took those lighthouse pictures with my very first camera, a 35mm point and shoot Kodak that I bought my senior year of high school before going on a class trip to Washington, DC! I miss my film cameras. I found the rock when day when I was there with Jason — we are guessing that it started life as a brick and was worn smooth by the waves.)
Anyhow, here are a few little peeks at my pages :)
Had so much fun playing with my new Hero Arts stencils, gesso, Dylusions mists, Studio Calico Atlantic papers, and remembering the good times.
Giveaway
Join me over at Simon Says Stamp to see the finished journal and learn about my process — such that it is, LOL! (Including what I did to hide a *major* accident that involved a line of bright orange mist!) And there’s a giveaway, too!
See you there, and hope you’re having a great summer! xx
Great job! I’ve already checked this out at SSS.
Saw it, love it, you’re AWESOME!!! :)
Awww thanks Barb and Barbara!!! Hugs!!!
I’m currently sitting at my desk at work……3 miles from Presque Isle. I love going there. Awesome place to spend an entire day!
No way Kimberly! That is awesome, so jealous! :)
I saw your journal page on the SSS Blog and had to drop by to let you know how much I enjoyed your post. Your narrative of this place you love and the description of the techniques you used were very well done. That not so happy accident with the orange color was obviously meant to be as the end result was a very inspiring and heartfelt page. I predict that, if you haven’t done many art journal pages you’ll see what a liberating experience it is and spend as much time with it as you do your cards.
Lisa….your blog title stunned me. My first thought was that there must be another place named Presque Isle. Then I saw the photo post and realized you are talking about “my” Presque Isle. It is a truly wonderful spot that we locals sometimes fail to appreciate. It’s a great place for people watching, bird watching, biking, roller blading, boating, water skiing, photography, beach walking, swimming. We’d be glad to welcome y’all back for another visit.
Hi Becky! Your comment made me laugh! It really is an awesome place, isn’t it? Sure hope I can convince the family that we need to go back! Living in Texas means I don’t get much time in Ohio with all of us together, especially in the summer. It’s not as much fun at Presque Isle at Christmastime lol!
You are a true artist! I definitely need to follow you!
