Hi all! Today I am over at my fellow biker chick Libby’s blog for the Tour de Craft, where we celebrate le Tour de France in stamps and other crafty goodness. I reached into my suitcase of tricks and whipped up this little quick little number in a roundabout 30 minutes. I was in time trial mode as I’ve been working like a woman possessed on the Hero Arts Christmas release and today is the big day it launches on the wholesale site. (If you can’t guess, I’ve been channeling Phil and Paul as I wrote this — they’re the primo Tour commentators.)
Here’s a little peek at one of the techniques I used on my card, along with a super sneaky peek at the rest :)
I’ve recently discovered watercoloring through stencils — it’s so relaxing and fun! Here I used Studio Calico well red ink to watercolor the red, and Hero Arts gold mist for the gold along with the Hero Arts confetti dots stencil. The red dots to represent the king of the mountains jersey since today is a mountain stage, including the Col du Tourmalet. It’s gonna be a great stage, I’m watching it live right now.
Ride on over to Libby’s blog and join us for more!
And, someday Libby and I *will* make it to the Tour! Thanks so much for having me Libby! and vive le Tour — de Craft! xo
LOVE IT!! Yes, you sounded completely like Phil & Paul with the “in a roundabout 30 minutes”!! Ha ha ha ha! Awesome. Love your beautiful card Lisa, thanks for sharing it with me for my blog!
