Inspired by Anthropologie

You guys! I was flipping through the Anthropologie catalog the other day and I noticed the sketchy firs — I was like WHOA! That’s like the stamp I did for Hero a while back. So I had to bust it out and make some cards. Right?

Lisa's Pen & Ink Fir

This stamp is really special to me. You see, I drew the balsam fir while I was staying at a little cabin in near Mount Tremblant, Quebec. It was pouring rain so we couldn’t go hiking. Luckily I had brought my watercolors with me tho. So while J napped, I ran outside quickly and gathered a few leaves to paint, along with this fir.

When I got back home to Texas, Hero was looking for stamps for that year’s Christmas catalog — and the rest is history.

Looks like you can still find the stamp HERE at Simon Says Stamp — not sure how many they have tho since it’s a few years old.

To make the card, I just brushed on watercolors and then stamped it. Loving navy so much this year. Then I stamped the “Merry Christmas”, watercolored some confetti and flourishes, and that was that. Now to get ’em in the mail.
