12 Tags / Day 5: Jingle Bells

Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! Jingle all the waaaaay!

Today I’m joining my friend Adelina for Day 5 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas. I just know she’s made something amazing so be sure to check it out HERE!

I kept mine on the super clean and simple side so that the focus would be on those jingle bells!

I’ve had these bells forever and they have a nice patina on them, so I wanted to give them kind of a shabby chic tag. I came up with this little number that would be super simple to make in multiples.

I started out by white heat embossing the “Jingle all the Way” with white powder — love this bright white one from WOW! Then I did the direct to paper technique with Catherine Pooler inks: party dress on the top part of the tag and rouge on the bottom. In case ya didn’t know, not only are Catherine Pooler inks but they also react with wayter, yeah! So I splattered the tag with water to create kind of a snowy effect — and that was that!
